  Many support groups assure you that, "You are not alone," and this is very true. You are not alone! But at WNC Brain Tumor Support we have changed that thought to;

"You don't have to be alone!"

Support

Upcoming event:

Spaghetti Dinner--Thurs. May 15, 6:00 pm Calendar

Nobody wants to be alone when they are faced with a brain tumor. Family members, friends, and loved ones can be there to provide emotional support, comfort, and strength, but this may not be enough. Even doctors cannot fully understand the kind of feelings and emotions that the brain tumor survivor must deal with. It is often helpful to talk to people who are in the same situation.

Support is an integral part of the recover process. In brain tumor patients, support can enhance and improve their quality of life. For those unable or uncomfortable with attending a support group, then one on one support can help. Our group offers support in various ways. We have monthly group meetings as well as one on one support. We also offer educative materials such as our monthly newsletter and web site. We recommend learning as much as you can about your tumor(s), treatment, and care facilities. There is a wealth of information on the internet to be found in all aspects of brain tumor support and care.

The survivors listed on the left are WNC BTS members. Here are their stories. We'd love to hear your story. Please let us know if we can post your story on our site, for others to read. Please include your tumor type/grade (if known) and when were you first diagnosed.If you'd like your picture to be posted on your page, email it along with your story.
